This shore excursion is ideal for "the caves" & wine enthusiasts! An ideal shore excursion for those who seek to see the top highlights of Kefalonia island and to taste local goods.

The first stop is Melissani Cave also known as the Cave of the Nymphs! Famous for its crystal clear waters and immaculate beauty! You will ride a traditional wooden boat and explore this stunning geological phenomenon! Learn about its many myths and also interesting information about how this cave was discovered!

The next stop is Drogarati Cave, known for its impressive acoustics and pristine stalagmites & stalactites! A walk through this hundred-year-old cave will truly leave you mesmerized.

Myrtos Beach Viewpoint follows next for a 10-minute photo stop. Capture amazing photos and see one of the most stunning beaches in Greece.

Last but not least visit a traditional seaside shop, where you will enjoy an in-depth mini local wine-tasting experience. The staff’s knowledge and love for Kefalonian local wine will truly amaze you!

  • Know Before You Go: The boats at Lake Melissani are 12-person rowboats with a rower. Passengers might encounter crowds when boarding during the peak season in July and August.

  • Know Before You Go: The boat ride lasts around 10-15 minutes and includes entry into the cave. (entry ticket not included in the price )The duration may vary depending on the number of visitors waiting in line.

  • Know Before You Go: To preserve the natural environment and protect the site, swimming in the Lake is not allowed for visitors.

  • Know Before You Go: We do not provide pick up from Lixouri Area. If you are staying in Lixouri and you wish to attend this excursion pick up is at Argostoli Port. For this tour, pick-up service is not available from the villages of Agia Efimia, Sami, Fiscardo, and Assos due to their location outside our designated pick-up zones.
