If you want to get a taste of the majestic and spectacular Samaria Gorge but do not quite feel up to the challenge of doing the long hike, this is the right excursion for you!
You will drive to the South Coast and then get on a boat which will take you to the exit of the gorge. You can then hike up to the gorge's most impressive area, the so-called 'Iron Gates', where the rockfaces only leave a few meters for the river to flow through – this is the best spot for pictures.
Then you hike back to the coast where you can go for a swim in the Libyan Sea and have lunch in one of the many tavernas before getting on your boat for the return trip.
