You might be confused as to why there is a Sangria Workshop on Aegina, be confused no more! Yes, when we think Sangria, we think of Spain (and I have been running Sangria Workshops in Barcelona for 14 years). However, did you know that in Ancient Greece there was a drink called Hippocras, which is a version of Sangria! The Ancient Greeks mixed wine, spices, and fruit, unique to Greece.
Discover the history of this thirst-quenching drink! This is an interactive, fun, and informative class that Kiki will guide you on. After you have made your own Hippocras version and enjoyed this ancient drink we will then try your hand at a more modern version of this Greek sangria, and taste that too. Kiki will also share her experience of Greek culture and history.
