商品説明

We will talk about the city of Toulon. From the modest ancient Roman harbor and its purple dyeing plant to the beginning of the 19th century. We will walk through the historic old town to discover its incredible destiny. From the first settlements in the middle of the first millennium BC at the foot of the Toulon mountains to the bastion of the French navy under Louis XIV, up to the start of the Napoleonic epic.
Our journey begins at the bottom of Cours Lafayette, continues through the streets of the lower town, and ends at the cathedral.
Then we will go back down to the harbor to discover how the city's destiny and its wealth are linked to the Royal and then the National Navy.
Together, we will discover how the city was embellished thanks to the Navy's sculptors and painters.
We will then move on to Louis XIV's royal arsenal to discuss the exploits and setbacks of his navy and the influence of Vauban on the city.
We will end our journey in front of the Porte d'Italie to discuss the flight of the eagle and the Napoleonic epic.
A real historical tour punctuated by some delightful anecdotes about the city.
