Discover the major works from the Collection Philippe Austruy across the three buildings of the art center, nestled in the heart of the Commanderie de Peyrassol.Intimate and tailored to each visitor, the tour of the permanent collection is led by one of the center’s art guide, ensuring a personalized experience based on closeness, adaptability, and dialogue. In 2025, two thematic displays will offer a captivating journey through the stories of artists from the 1960s to today.
The main building, inaugurated in 2016, presents a selection of paintings and sculptures arranged according to visual strategies rather than a narrative thread or storyline. Among others, the visual illusion, the viewer’s inclusion in the artistic process, and the positioning of the artwork as an autonomous and independent object are central themes of this display. The second building, originally intended for temporary exhibitions, brings together artists who engage directly with history, underground culture, sociopolitical conflict, and the violence of the modern world.
Before or after your guided cultural experience, feel free to explore the rest of the art trail at your own pace—through the Remarkable Garden, the forest, or the vineyards of the estate—guided by a map and an explanatory booklet. At the boutique, enjoy a guided tasting of two wines. The cellars can only be visited as part of the guided tour.
