Whittier: Blackstone Glacier Small Group Tour and Beach Walk｜United States

Set off from Whittier and cruise along the shores of Blackstone Bay, a fjord carved by ancient glaciers. Marvel at the sheer cliff walls, wide glacier outwash streams, and deep grooves and striations scoured into the rock walls.

Whittier is the perfect place to start your adventure to see the magnificent glaciers. We are the only tour operator running tours to tidewater glaciers at this time of year. Step aboard our vessel, designed to not only show you the beauty from the boat, but also let you get off and walk on the shores of Prince William Sound — a unique experience that you can only get at Lazy Otter Charters.

Our tours have expert captains and deckhands who share their experience of living and working out in the sound. Our smaller groups provide an opportunity for you to get to know Prince William Sound like an Alaskan local.

For this trip, you will check in with our office at 1 harbor view drive then we will board the boat and go the one hour boar ride to get to Blackstone Glacier. Throughout the trip we will look for wildlife, learn from our expert naturalist, and enjoy snacks and hot drinks. At some point in the trip the Captain will land the boat on a remote beach for a 15-20 minuet beach walk.
