Book a 2-hour private tour of Downtown Washington DC and delve into the city’s most iconic sights and historical moments. Begin at Lafayette Square, where stories of important political events and figures echo through the trees. Stand before the White House, the iconic symbol of American executive power, as your guide unpacks its storied past and its role in shaping the nation and global politics. This is your chance to learn in-depth about your most or least favorite US president from a History Expert!
Stroll along Pennsylvania Avenue, “America’s Main Street,” passing the plaza honoring General Pershing and the stately National Theatre, which has hosted presidents and performers since the 19th century. Stop by the Petersen House, where President Lincoln took his final breaths, and hear the powerful tale of that fateful night in 1865 as you view the exterior of Ford’s Theatre, still a working performance venue and historic landmark. End your tour in front of the FBI Headquarters, the world's most powerful and secretive criminal investigation agency. Curious to learn more about their operations? Book now!
Choose a 3-hour option for a deeper dive into the rich layers of Washington DC, with additional exploration of the National Mall - one of the world's most famous urban parks and site of democratic protests. Catch a glimpse of the iconic white dome of US Capitol, explore the row of world-class museums such as the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, and end your tour by the Washington Monument. From this point, your Private Guide will happily recommend more places to visit in Washington DC based on your needs and interests.
