Discover the natural beauty of Viterbo on a guided hike. Walk through a chestnut forest, visit the Luparo's stream valley, and see the waters "cittadella" and the old plumbing system.
Start from Viterbo's south outskirts and after a few minutes, be in the wild nature. Cross a wild chestnut forest and then go down in the Luparo's stream valley in the middle of Arcionello's Valley Natural Reserve where a lot of small animals live.
In this valley, visit the waters "cittadella", the old plumbing system built in the beginning of the 20th century and today a fascinating place surrounded by nature. After this, walk the friars' path at the foot of Palanzana's mountain that 800,000 years ago was a volcano.
Then, rise up on the top of the mountain where you can see mysterious ancient rocks used by humans, the volcano's crater, panorama of Viterbo, all the Tuscia's land till Bolsena Lake, and the sea.
