**Day 1: Marsaxlokk**
Spend a Sunday morning in Marsaxlokk, a charming fishing village known for its colorful luzzus and lively market. Then visit Wied iz-Zurrieq where you can take a boat trip to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting). Continue with a walk through one of Malta’s villages, exploring its main square, parish church, and winding streets.
**Day 2: Valletta**
Enjoy a half-day tour of Valletta and discover the fortified city built by the Knights. Enjoy views of the Grand Harbour from the Upper Barrakka Gardens. Visit St. John’s Co-Cathedral (Optional Add-On or free time), including Caravaggio masterpieces and marble inlaid floors. Stroll down Republic Street past the Grand Masters’ Palace and St. George’s Square. End by watching the audiovisual show at the Malta Experience or Malta 5D, where Malta’s history comes to life.
**Day 3: Mdina**
Today's half-day tour starts at Malta’s medieval silent city of Mdina. The narrow, winding streets lead to imposing bastions commanding a panoramic view. Discover medieval Siculo-Norman palaces and Baroque buildings. Proceed to Dingli Cliffs. End your tour with a visit to San Anton gardens.
**Day 3: Mdina Optional Add-On**
Upgrade to a full-day tour including a 3-course lunch and a glass of wine. Explore the early Christian Catacombs in Rabat and the Ta’ Qali Crafts Village. Visit Mosta Church and admire its dome, one of the largest in Europe.
**Day 4: Three Cities**
Discover the Grand Harbour area opposite Valletta known as the Three Cities, where the Knights of St. John first settled in 1530. Driving past Cospicua, reach Vittoriosa for a morning walking tour through the narrow streets home to the first auberges of the Order. At the Vittoriosa waterfront, take a typical harbor boat (dghajsa) for a tour of the colorful harbor creeks. From the Senglea Garden enjoy a 360° view of the Grand Harbour.
**Day 4: Three Cities Optional Add-On**
On Wednesdays you can extend your morning tour with a second harbour cruise in the afternoon from Sliema including transport, to discover the beauty of Valletta’s two natural harbours – Marsamxett and the Grand Harbour.
**Day 5: Gozo**
After a short ferry crossing you will reach Mgarr harbour for a full-day tour of the island of Gozo including lunch. Visit the Megalithic temples of Ggantija, the oldest free-standing monuments in the world, pre-dating the Pyramids of Egypt. Visit the medieval citadel in Victoria, Xlendi Bay and the Dwejra inland sea.
**Day 6: Hagar Qim Temple**
This half-day tour starts with a visit to the Limestone Heritage showcasing Malta’s long tradition of limestone building. The magic of Malta’s antiquity will be explained at Hagar Qim Temple, Malta’s main pre-historic site. You will then proceed to Wied iz-Zurrieq where you either have another chance to take a boat trip to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting), or relax at any of the seaside bars and enjoy the views of the Mediterranean and the islet of Filfla.
