Discover the winter magic of Abruzzo National Park with an exciting snowshoe hike in the Bosco della Difesa in Pescasseroli. This centuries-old beech forest, one of the most evocative in the park, offers fairytale landscapes thanks to the unique shapes of the pollarded beeches. The forest is the usual home of the Marsican Brown Bear, the Wolf, the Deer, and the Roe Deer, making the hike even more fascinating.
The circular route, about 6 km long and with a difference in altitude of 150 meters, starts from the Vallecupa riding school and winds through paths, clearings, and springs. Your local guide will take you on a journey to discover the history of the beech trees, the animals in the park, and the secrets of this enchanted place, where the film "The Fox and the Child" was also filmed.
The hike is easy and suitable for everyone, perfect for families and groups of friends. There are two shifts: morning and afternoon. Gear (snowshoes, poles, headlamps if needed) is included. Four-legged friends are welcome!

More info The activity runs from December to April, Monday to Saturday, depending on the snow and weather conditions.
