Discover the history of Ancient Rome on a guided walk through the symbols of power of great emperors and their mausoleums. A journey that takes you back to Ancient Rome, to one of the city’s most sacred areas, to rediscover the customs, rituals, and atmosphere of an ancient city. You will relive moments that shaped Roman history through its most important figures and feel part of it. Together, we will trace the boundaries of one of the largest cities of the ancient world, with a population of over 1 million inhabitants. People from across the Mediterranean became part of Roman culture and, in turn, influenced it with their different rituals and customs.
On this guided walk from the Ara Pacis to Castel Sant’Angelo and on to Piazza del Popolo, you’ll follow the Tiber River and explore ancient Rome’s monuments of power, including Augustus’ Mausoleum. We will also enter the Ara Pacis (we will purchase the tickets together on site). Ara Pacis Museum tickets (on-site):
