A fascinating journey through the centuries, from the peaks of the Apennines to the azure waters of the Adriatic. Our day begins in Fermo, a historic city perched on a hill overlooking the verdant surrounding countryside. Fermo is an open-air treasure with roots in the Piceni and Roman eras; we will explore its vibrant heart, made up of churches rich in relics, medieval towers, and surprising museums. The unmissable experience of the morning will be the descent underground to visit the Roman Cisterns from the Augustan era: this is the largest water complex ever built by the Romans in terms of square meters, a monumental engineering feat that must be visited to understand the grandeur of the city's past. Strolling through the picturesque narrow streets of the historic old town, we will soak up the atmosphere of the ancient commercial streets and the historical reenactments that make Fermo a city that is alive all year round. After lunch at leisure, we will move on to Moresco, a castle village among the "Most Beautiful in Italy", famous for its iconic heptagonal tower. We will end the day in Torre di Palme, a natural balcony overlooking the sea. Here, among flower-filled alleys and medieval views, we will immerse ourselves in the characteristic Craft Market (open on Tuesdays in July and August), where the expertise of local artisans meets the breeze of the Marina Palmense coastline, offering us an unforgettable sunset amidst art and relaxation.
Scheduling: • Morning: Guided visit of Fermo: Piazza del Popolo, the Duomo, and exclusive admission to the monumental Roman Cisterns. Break for lunch at leisure among the gastronomic delights of the historic old town. • Afternoon: Visit to the hamlet of Moresco • Late afternoon/evening: Transfer to Torre di Palme for the Craft Market
