We visit the building called "El-De-Haus" which was the Terror Headquarters in Cologne from 1935 to 1945, the seat of the Nazi state secret police. After an introduction to the history of the building and the Gestapo, we go down to the basement to experience the most original and moving part of this experience: the prison memorial, a place of torture and executions, where the prisoners' trials and tribulations are etched on the walls. Going back up to the upper floors, you visit the museum section, known as the NS Documentation Center in Cologne, which is full of original documents and photos. An experience not to be missed, especially for those who are interested in this chapter of history and want to fully understand this place with explanations in Italian.
