商品説明
Discover the rich history and legacy of the divided Berlin on this fascinating tour. Immerse yourself in a city filled with ideological extremes, espionage, tyranny, and heroism, and learn about its journey towards reunification in 1990.
Your experienced local guide will meet you at your hotel or a pre-arranged location and provide an overview of the Cold War in Germany and Berlin. Whether you prefer to explore the city on foot or by car, your guide will take you on a journey through divided Berlin and its lasting legacy.
Visit key landmarks and sites related to the division, including the East Side Gallery, the longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall and the world's largest open-air gallery, the Oberbaumbrücke, a former border crossing, and the Palace of Tears museum, another former crossing point and now a museum.
See the Brandenburg Gate, the symbol of unity and division, where President Reagan challenged Gorbachev to "tear down this wall" in 1987, and visit the Berlin Wall Memorial and other "Ghost Stations" to learn about the dramatic tales of escape and loss at the border.
At the end of the tour, your guide will accompany you back to your hotel or a drop-off location of your choice and provide recommendations to help you make the most of your stay. Your tour can be customized to meet your preferences, and your guide will be happy to assist with restaurant reservations or visits to museums and galleries.
Please note public transportation tickets are not included in the tour price.
