Start your tour at the Royal Castle, once a residence of Polish kings, and learn about its role in the region’s history while viewing it from the outside. Continue to the Cathedral Basilica, known for its Gothic structure and richly decorated chapels. Walk to Collegium Gostomianum, one of Poland’s oldest schools, and hear stories about its academic past.
Pass through the narrow Needle’s Eye, a medieval Dominican gate, before reaching the Old Town Market Square with its colorful townhouses and Renaissance Town Hall. Stroll along Opatowska Street, the city’s historic main route filled with cafés and local shops. Finish at the Opatowska Gate, the last preserved medieval gate in Sandomierz, with the option to climb the tower for panoramic views.
