Welcome to a wonderful adventure in search of the Northern Lights. This tour will take you on a thrilling aurora hunting to the witness nature's most spectacular light show. Escape the city and discover the beautiful landscapes of Finnish Lapland on a comfortable evening adventure from Rovaniemi.
Travel in a comfortable minivan with your guide and leave the city behind as you head into the peaceful Arctic wilderness.
This experience is about more than simply searching for the Northern Lights. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to explore and enjoy the unique landscapes of Lapland, with stops at several scenic locations chosen according to the weather and conditions.
Travel through quiet forests, discover beautiful lakes and enjoy the changing Arctic scenery. While spending time outdoors, keep your eyes on the sky. Away from the city lights, we will look for the Northern Lights and choose locations with the best possible viewing conditions.
The exact route and stops are flexible, allowing your guide to adapt the experience to the weather, cloud cover, road conditions and Northern Lights activity. We usually make 3–4 stops during the tour to look for and enjoy the Northern Lights. The number of stops depends on the evening conditions — if the Northern Lights appear quickly, we can spend more time enjoying the experience at one location; if they are not visible yet, we continue to different locations in search of clearer skies and better viewing conditions.
As the evening continues, we will stop at a suitable location to light a campfire and enjoy a traditional outdoor BBQ. Grill up some sausages, taste Finnish pie, warm up with hot berry juice and cookies, and roast some marshmallows by a cozy fire under the Arctic sky.
Whether the sky fills with dancing Northern Lights or you simply enjoy the peaceful Arctic landscape, this tour offers an opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Lapland in a comfortable and relaxed way.
The Aurora Borealis is a natural unpredictable phenomenon, so there's no guarantee you'll be able to see it on any night. However, this adventure will provide you with the unforgettable experience of Aurora hunting and seeing the beautiful scenery of of Arctic Lapland.
