Your private Stars & Northern Lights chase begins in the evening with a pickup from your accommodation in the Rovaniemi area. After meeting your local guide, you’ll head out by car into the Arctic night, leaving the city lights behind and traveling deeper into the quiet landscapes of Lapland.

Throughout the evening, your guide continuously monitors weather forecasts, cloud cover, and aurora activity, adjusting the route as needed. Instead of following a fixed plan, the journey is flexible and responsive, allowing you to move toward clearer skies and better viewing conditions as the night unfolds.

You’ll stop at carefully selected locations such as frozen lakes, open fields, or peaceful forest areas where the sky is dark and unobstructed. When the Northern Lights appear, there is time to pause, observe, and enjoy the moment without rush. The experience is calm and unhurried, allowing you to fully take in the colors, movement, and silence of the Arctic night.

During the evening, your guide will take professional photos of you under the Arctic sky and the Northern Lights. Creative light effects, including sparklers, can be used for unique and magical photo moments. These professionally edited images are included in the experience and will be delivered to you immediately after the tour, so you can relive and share your memories right away.

At one of the scenic stops, we will light a campfire (weather permitting). Around the fire, you can relax and enjoy warm local drinks and traditional snacks while surrounded by the peaceful Arctic wilderness. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy — a true Lapland moment away from crowds.

Because the tour is completely private, there are no other guests and no crowded viewpoints. The pace is set entirely by your group, whether you prefer to stay longer at one location or continue the chase to another spot. Your guide is also happy to assist with photography using your own camera or smartphone.
