Travel from Rovaniemi in a new, heated 4x4 vehicle and explore the canyon with a professional local guide. Follow an approximately 4–6 km winter trail through snowy forests and dramatic canyon scenery while seeing Korouoma’s famous frozen waterfalls up close.

Your guide helps you navigate the winter terrain, leads you to the best viewpoints and photography locations, and shares insights about the Arctic nature and conditions that create these enormous ice formations.

During the hike, gather around an open fire in the wilderness and warm up with a hot traditional BBQ lunch and hot drink.

With a smaller group, you’ll enjoy a more personal experience, more time with your guide and plenty of opportunities to stop for photos.

Korouoma Frozen Waterfalls Adventure:

Looking for an easy and more affordable way to visit Korouoma?

Travel comfortably from Rovaniemi in a premium heated coach while your experienced driver takes care of the winter roads.

On arrival, your English-speaking driver-host provides clear information about the recommended hiking route, trail conditions, timing and meeting point.

You can then explore Korouoma independently at your own pace, walk through the snowy canyon and discover its spectacular frozen waterfalls before returning to the coach at the agreed time.

The Self-Guided option does not include a guide accompanying you during the hike, BBQ lunch, food or drinks.
