Begin your Arctic night adventure with hotel pickup in Rovaniemi and transfer to the snowmobile starting point. After a safety briefing and driving instructions, follow your guide into the snowy landscapes of Lapland. No previous snowmobile experience is required.
Ride for approximately 90 minutes through the Arctic night, away from the brightest city lights. Two guests normally share one snowmobile, and adults can switch drivers during the ride when conditions allow. A valid driver's license is required to drive.
Stop by the fire for a tasty Arctic BBQ with traditional Finnish outdoor food and warm drinks. While riding and relaxing by the fire, keep your eyes on the sky — when conditions are favorable, you may see the Northern Lights. As the Aurora is a natural phenomenon, sightings can never be guaranteed.
Choose between two options:
⭐Arctic Night Snowmobile Safari
Enjoy the 90-minute nighttime snowmobile ride, Arctic BBQ, and the chance to see the Northern Lights during your adventure. If the Aurora is not visible, the experience ends normally after the snowmobile safari and BBQ.
⭐Snowmobile + Northern Lights Hunt
Choose this option if seeing the Northern Lights is an important part of your evening. Enjoy the same snowmobile safari and BBQ. If the Northern Lights are not seen during the snowmobile experience, continue the search by car.
During the car-based Hunt, your guide uses weather and cloud forecasts, Aurora data, local knowledge, and real-time observations to choose the most promising direction. Arctic Safari Guides may have several Northern Lights teams searching in different directions during the same evening, sharing information about clear skies, cloud cover, and Aurora sightings.
Our Northern Lights guides have years of experience hunting the Aurora across Lapland. The extended Hunt gives us more time and mobility to search for better conditions, but Northern Lights sightings are never guaranteed.
Hotel pickup and drop-off in Rovaniemi are included.
