Begin your Lapland sledding adventure with pickup from your accommodation in the central Rovaniemi area and head to a local husky farm where furry fun awaits. After a warm welcome from the huskies and their owners, get safety instructions for your sled ride.
Climb onto a sled pulled by a pack of dogs. Enjoy the short but pleasant ride through the Lapland landscape. Travel with the huskies for 1 kilometer, admiring the views all around you as you speed through the snow.
After the 5-minute roundtrip ride, spend quality time with the huskies as you get up close and personal for some cuddles and photos. Move to a warm hut for a hot drink and snack to learn everything there is to know about these friendly animals.
Continue to a local reindeer farm, where the farm owners will introduce you to their reindeer herd. Learn about the crucial role these majestic creatures play in the lives of the local Sámi people. Feel free to ask questions and interact with these gentle animals as you feed them and capture photos.
Get on a traditional wooden sled pulled by sturdy reindeer, and let the exhilarating journey begin. Glide through snow-covered forests and open fields, surrounded by the serenity of the Arctic landscape.
