Pickup is at your accommodation. Travel by minibus to our office in Ivalo. You will receive warm thermal clothing and shoes, then head to the small village of Koppelo, far from the city lights.
Take a seat in your sleigh and travel deeper into the wilderness with your local guide. A comfortable snowmobile-pulled sleigh is covered with a warm reindeer hide, and you can enjoy the ride to the frozen lakeside. On the lake, we will take a break amid the silent beauty of the wilderness. If you are lucky, you might see the Northern Lights in the middle of the lake.
Your hosts, Tina and Tapio, own the small family company. They live on a small island, and you will have a chance to enjoy an authentic experience by visiting the island.
On the island, there is a traditional wooden cottage and Lappish teepees. There, you can relax and see if you are lucky enough to spot the Northern Lights. Your guide will prepare a delicious dinner and hot drinks by a campfire. Dinner will be made with local fish or reindeer, and a vegetarian option is available on request.
You will meet our friendly reindeer and have the opportunity to feed them.
