Ancestral Experience with Llamas – A Connection with Pachamama

Dive into a unique and ancient experience in the heart of the Atacama Desert. This tour will take you to discover the millennial relationship between the Atacameño people, the Pachamama, and the llamas, in a majestic natural environment. From walking alongside these noble animals to sharing stories and traditions with a local family, you'll experience a morning or afternoon full of history, culture, and natural beauty. Whether at sunrise or sunset, this experience will be unforgettable.

Itinerary and Activity Details
- Morning Departure (8 am to 11 am)
The tour kicks off with a 30-minute vehicle ride, ascending to 4,000 meters above sea level. When you arrive at a local family's ranch, you'll enjoy a delicious breakfast overlooking the imposing Licancabur Volcano. Here, you'll discover the ancient history that links llamas with Pachamama and the Atacameño culture. You'll also have the chance to take photos, videos, and hang out with the local family, while listening to unique stories about their bond with the land and animals.

- Evening departure (6 pm to 9 pm)
For the afternoon option, we start at 3 pm with a visit to the village of Toconao, known as the "Stone Village," famous for its orchards that sustain the region's fruit growing. Later, we'll head to the Jerez Valley, where you can check out ancient farming techniques passed down from our ancestors and admire the rock art on a 40-minute walk. As we move through the Old Forest, you'll be transported through the alleys used by farmers, discovering the hidden stories of this enigmatic place.

We'll end the afternoon at the Salar de Atacama, home to numerous species of birds, including flamingos, which are an integral part of our Andean worldview. Here, we'll tell you more about its cultural significance while you enjoy a cocktail in this unforgettable landscape.

Book now and enjoy an ancestral experience that will connect you with the nature, history, and culture of the Atacama Desert!
