Join a guided snowshoeing trip on Tromsøya.
Enjoy a short snowshoeing adventure in easy terrain, perfect for people with little experience and families with kids from 8 years and older.

After a short 10-minute drive from the city center to the top of Tromsø island, we will first learn how to use snowshoes and then start walking in the forest.

Our guide will lead you through flat and slightly hilly terrain. We will stop several times along the way to take photos and share interesting information about our beautiful city and the Arctic environment. The area is beautifully scenic with birch and spruce forests and offers the opportunity to enjoy incredible views of the surrounding island landscapes. We will also stop for a longer break where we will serve lefse (a delicious local snack) and a hot drink to warm you up.

  • Not Suitable For: Wheelchair users

  • What To Bring: Warm clothing

  • Know Before You Go: You need to wear your own warm and windproof clothes and winter boots that cover the ankle. Snowshoes (which attach to your own boots) will be provided and are included in the price

  • Know Before You Go: Winter clothes and boots can be rented separately at our rental center upon prior arrangement
