We'll visit Bryggen and learn about the dried cod trade that made Bergen one of the most important commercial cities in Europe in the Middle Ages. At Fisketorget, you'll experience the vibrant atmosphere of the market, featuring fish, seafood, and typical Norwegian products.
Along the way, I'll show you the traditional wooden houses and the modern city center, while sharing stories about Bergen during World War II and about the city as the musical birthplace of Edvard Grieg.
