DISCOVER DOKKUM THROUGH YOUR CAMERA
Step away from the standard tourist paths and explore Dokkum like a local. This is not just another city-walk, it is an active 2,5 hours photography journey (including a break) through one of the most picturesque cities of the Netherlands. We gather at the 'De Helling' parking area and dive straight into the historic heart of this city - famous for it's stunning canals, classic windmills and for hosting the Dutch king during King's day.
A SMALL GROUP, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
To ensure you get the absolute most out of this experience, groups are strictly limited to a maximum of 7 participants. This intimate setting guarantees plenty of personal attention and a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. Guided by an experienced, local photographer you will have all the time and space to ask questions, experiment with your camera and learn at your own pace. We will take a relaxing 30-minute break to grab a coffee & snack (not included).
HISTORIC WINDMILLS, HIDDEN ALLYES & CUTE HOUSES
Our photographic route is packed with Dokkum's most scenic highlights. We start by capturing a classic windmill and a charming bridge before moving to the historic streets to photograph the traditional stepped-gabled houses. We will work on architectural framing at the old City Halland explore unique angles at the Diepswal waterfront near the historic Erven Brewery. You will also get to capture modern art meeting history at the famous Ice Fountain next to the grand St. Martin's Church. Finally we will navigate through the narrow Koekebakkerssteeg alleyway to master the depth and perspective before heading back.
