Experience the blooming beauty of the Swiss Alps on a special guided nature experience in Zermatt.
Together, we will travel from Zermatt on the famous Gornergrat Railway up to Rotenboden at an altitude of about 2,815 meters. Even the train ride offers spectacular views of the Alps, glaciers, and the Matterhorn.
A highlight of the tour is a visit to the world-famous Riffelsee. The mountain lake offers a unique mirror effect – but only when there is no wind, as the Matterhorn is perfectly reflected in the water in calm weather. This location is one of the most beautiful photo spots in Switzerland and is perfect for cinematic souvenir photos.
The entrance fee to the Alpine Garden is also included. There we will discover the fascinating world of alpine flowers and rare plants of the high Alps.
And, if we're lucky, we'll experience one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the Swiss Alps during the hike. When the evening light turns the mountains golden and the Matterhorn slowly glows in the warm light, an almost magical atmosphere is created.
In summer, we may even encounter the famous Valais Black Nose sheep along the way – the charming Black Nose sheep that graze peacefully in the alpine meadows and are among the region's most popular symbols.
After the stay, we will hike back together towards Zermatt. The hike takes us through:
* Riffelberg * Riffelalp * Beautiful alpine forest panoramic trails * Forests and vantage points with views of the Matterhorn
The entire route to Zermatt is approximately 12 km and is mostly downhill. The hike is relaxed and designed for enjoyment, nature, and atmosphere – not an extreme mountain tour.
Please bring along:
* Good hiking shoes – with ankle protection. * Water * Small snacks * Sunglasses and weather-appropriate clothing
If necessary, you can stop the hike at Riffelalp and take the train down at your own expense
This experience is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, flower lovers, couples, solo travelers, and all guests who want to experience Zermatt from its most poetic and natural side.
