Then, board our 4x4 bus and enjoy a scenic 15-minute drive to the edge of Falljökull Glacier, where the adventure truly begins.
Stepping onto the glacier, you’ll strap on your crampons and ascend the icy terrain, walking across an otherworldly landscape shaped by nature’s relentless forces. Your guide will show you how to safely walk on the ice and get comfortable with the glacier crampons. Admire the mesmerizing blue ice formations, safely navigate around deep crevasses, and learn fascinating insights about the glacier’s formation, movement, and the continuous transformation. You will see the icefall that Falljökull ('Falling Glacier') is named for.
