Begin your day with a private pickup from your hotel or chosen location in Reykjavik. Meet your driver guide and settle into a comfortable vehicle as you begin a relaxed journey through Iceland’s famous Golden Circle on a full day adventure.
Your first destination is Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where history and geology come together. Walk through the dramatic rift valley where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates slowly drift apart, and take in the striking landscapes that make this place one of Iceland’s most important landmarks. If weather and road conditions allow, you may also stop at Oxarafoss, a scenic waterfall tucked inside the park and surrounded by volcanic cliffs.
The adventure continues at the remarkable Silfra fissure, where you will have time to prepare for your snorkeling experience in one of the clearest waters in the world. Surrounded by lava rock formations and crystal clear glacial water, this unique location offers an unforgettable opportunity to float between two continents.
After your Silfra experience, continue to the famous Geysir geothermal area. Here you can watch the Strokkur geyser erupt every few minutes while steam rises from bubbling hot springs across the colorful geothermal landscape. The journey then leads to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls, where glacial water thunders into a deep canyon creating spectacular views and misty air.
Before returning to the city, visit Kerid Crater, a striking volcanic crater lake known for its vivid red slopes and deep blue water. Take a short walk around the rim and enjoy the unique colors and scenery before beginning the drive back to Reykjavik.
At the end of the day, sit back and relax as your driver guide brings you back to your hotel or accommodation in Reykjavik, completing a memorable day exploring some of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders.
