This photography and sightseeing tour of the Beara Peninsula weaves its way through a magical landscape of amazing vistas, heritage sites and colourful villages. With much of the scenery only accessible by a network of narrow lanes that meander through remote valleys and alongside the rugged coastline, exploring Beara is generally a peaceful and tranquil experience.
As we follow the Ring of Beara, passing through endless sweeping panoramas and coastal vistas, we can choose to visit a variety of charismatic abandoned ruins and antiquities including the Uragh and Ardgroom Stone Circles, Kilcatherine Church, the Old Hag of Beara, Dunboy Castle and the engine houses from the 19th Century copper mining near Allihies.
As this is a genuine photography and sightseeing tour led by a landscape and nature photographer, I will provide ongoing tuition and tips to improve your holiday photography with any camera or mobile phone. I am also happy to take photos of you and your group during this tour, using your camera or phone.
All the locations we visit are easily accessible using paths from the minibus and there's no strenuous walking or climbing involved.
This tour can also start and finish from the Dingle, Tralee or Kenmare areas.
