商品説明
Continue to the Granary, a stone-built building that produced linen from flax, established by the Earl of Glengall and his wife Emily to create employment for the townspeople. See St. Paul’s Church and Erasmus Smith National School, both designed by John Nash, royal architect to King George. Visit Old St Mary's Medieval Church. Walk through the Ha Ha, used by the gentry on romantic strolls, and visit the Viaduct, which had two major train crashes in 1954 and 2003. Stroll along the Mall by the River Suir and appreciate the splendor of the fine Georgian houses, homes to the merchants and gentry of the town.
Learn about Bianconi’s transport business, the first-ever coach run from Clonmel to Cahir. See the fine Margaret Charteris water fountain with its Venetian-style design, one of the first piped water sources in Tipperary.
Pass by Cahir Castle and Inch Field and visualize medieval times with knights with their swords on their fine steeds. Visit medieval Old St. Mary’s Church, the burial ground of the first Earl of Glengall, and the church used before the newer church was erected.
Finally, ramble around the town square to see the plaque of the Blind Piper, Crimea Bob, the shop that sold tickets for the Titanic, and much more.
