Experience a Journey Through the Seasons & Nature’s Pantry - whether in the winter season or in summer.
Welcome to Huuva Hideaway’s outdoor bar and restaurant, set in an old reindeer corral – a place where nature’s pantry meets Sámi traditions. Join us on a foraging walk through the forest, where we explore edible Arctic plants, wild herbs, and berries. We’ll forage what’s in season.
(During the winter season, we stay mostly indoors in our cozy “guestaurant.” We begin outdoors by the fire, where you’ll be served a warm drink and have the chance to try kick sledding or snowshoeing. Then we move inside for a 3-course lunch with non-alcoholic beverages and storytelling about nature, reindeer, Sámi culture, and history.)
Back at the base camp, surrounded by the scent of the fire, we’ll sip on wild-crafted mocktails and tasting nature-inspired snacks at the outdoor bar.
We’ll decorate and set the table and enjoy a flavorful three-course meal, a tribute to Sápmi and Arctic cuisine. As we dine, we’ll listen to stories about Sápmi, Sámi philosophy, the eight seasons, the year of the reindeer, and life in the North. An experience filled with taste, fire, and captivating tales.
