Step into a magical Arctic evening and experience Sámi culture where it truly belongs – close to nature, the reindeer and life under the northern sky.

As the day fades into twilight, meet the reindeer and take part in hand-feeding them while your guide shares stories about the herd, reindeer herding and Sámi traditions. It’s a calm and personal encounter that brings you closer to the reindeer and the Sámi way of life.

Afterwards, gather inside the warm and comfortable lavvu around the fire. Here, a traditional 3-course Sámi dinner is served at your table, beginning with homemade Gáhkku, traditional Sámi bread. For the main course, enjoy Mállás, a slow-cooked meat soup prepared according to Sámi tradition, followed by golden cloudberries for dessert. A vegetarian option is also available.

Throughout the evening, listen to stories about Sámi life, culture and traditions, as well as old myths and beliefs surrounding the Northern Lights. Traditional Sámi music adds to the atmosphere as you enjoy the warmth of the fire and the peaceful Arctic surroundings.

Non-alcoholic drinks are included with your dinner, followed by coffee or tea. If you would like something extra, beer and wine are available to purchase from the Sámi bar.

And don’t forget to keep an eye on the sky. If the night is clear and conditions are right, you may be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dancing above.

After dinner, take your time to relax in the lavvu, sit by the outdoor fires, spend another moment with the reindeer or simply enjoy the stillness of the Arctic evening before your transfer takes you comfortably back to Luleå. Transfer is included.
