商品説明
There is the Revolution that we learn about in elementary school: sudden, bright, almost logical. One day, a king facing a people burdened by taxes, and the next day, a Republic that makes the Declaration of the Rights of Man its constitution.
Later, in secondary school, a more detailed study of the mass of events eclipses the forces at work. Many of us have been left in this thick fog.
This 90-minute tour was created with a diverse historiography based on the rich collections of the Musée Carnavalet. It aims to show how the historical narrative differs from and sometimes even contradicts that of our textbooks. To do this, Thomas Stehlin has set himself the goal of creating an embodied and accessible narrative, not by simplifying, but by pointing out the coherence of the events already highlighted by the historians who have dedicated their lives to the period.
With the conviction that talking about the Revolution is revolutionary in itself, it will also be a question of getting a glimpse of how it is not over!
