商品説明
The tour starts in front of the Town Hall (17, Rue de la République), with a stop at the Salle des Mariages decorated by Jean Cocteau. The group then goes up Rue Saint-Michel, a lively pedestrian street, before stopping at the Marché des Halles, a pink brick building offering fruits, vegetables, cheeses, and local specialties (open in the morning except on Mondays). The tour then heads to the waterfront and the 17th-century Bastion, which houses a collection of works by Jean Cocteau. The walk along the Quai Napoléon III offers a direct view of the ocher and yellow facades of the historic old town reflected in the sea. The ascent is via the Rampes Saint-Michel, monumental zigzag stairs and a must-see photo spot, to the pebble-paved square of the Basilica of Saint-Michel-Archange, a 17th-century Baroque jewel. The tour continues to the Vieux Château Cemetery, the highest point of the tour, which offers a 360° panorama of the bay, the Italian border, and the Alpine peaks. The descent is through the cool alleys of the historic old town to the Plage des Sablettes, the arrival point on the shores of the Mediterranean. The tour operates in all weather conditions.
