Your experience begins with an explanation of Château Pont Saint-Martin, a family estate located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan Appellation. You will learn about the history of the estate, its heritage, its evolution over the generations, as well as the particularities of this terroir, recognized as one of the most prestigious in Bordeaux.
The tour continues in the vat room, where the different stages of winemaking are explained. From the reception of the harvest to fermentation, you will understand how the grapes are transformed into wine and how each step contributes to revealing the full expression of the grape varieties and the terroir.
You will then enter the barrel cellar, where the wines continue to age. This space allows you to discover the role of ageing in oak barrels, its influence on the aromas, structure, and aging potential of the wines. This is an opportunity to better understand the time and expertise required to produce each cuvée.
The experience ends with a commented tasting of four wines from the estate: a rosé, a white, and two reds.
This tasting is also an opportunity to discover the differences between the Graves and Pessac-Léognan appellations, their terroirs, their grape varieties and their styles. A friendly immersion in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, ideal for better understanding the world of wine while tasting representative cuvées from Château Pont Saint-Martin.
