We’ll take a quick break for one of Lyon’s most beloved local pastries, made from a top secret recipe and now something of an institution in the city.

Then it’s time to rest our feet and let the funicular do the climbing. We’ll finish above the city at Fourvière, with its extraordinary basilica and sweeping views over Lyon.
