Two-day private D-Day tour of the American and British sectors starting from Bayeux, Paris - Carentan or Ste. Mère Église. This is the most extensive D-Day tour on the market! At the end of the two day tour you are a D-Day expert yourself! No one else will be able to join this private tour, which is limited to a maximum of 8 people per minibus.
We prefer private tours for maximum personal contact, and enough time to see everything. This way we will also be able to answer all your questions. Even the biggest history buff will like this! You will visit Sainte-Mère-Église (Airborne Museum and church), La Fière Bridge, Charles DeGlopper MOH Monument, Gen. Falley ambush site, several drop zones, Utah Beach, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, Angoville-au-Plain, Deadman's Corner, Purple Heart Lane, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach at 3 locations, Normandy American Cemetery, Longues-sur-Mer gun battery, remains of the artificial harbor at Arromanches and the German cemetery. You will see and go into bunkers and other remains of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall.
Starting in Bayeux: you will be picked up at 09:15 at your hotel. Starting at Sainte-Mère-Église: 10.00 at the gates of the Airborne Museum. This is where the actual tour starts! It is a 35-minute drive from Bayeux to Sainte-Mère-Église.
Coming from Paris? No problem. Book your train from Paris Saint Lazare leaving 6.12am arriving at Carentan 9.06am. This is train: Intercités 3301. Book your return Carentan - Paris Saint-Lazare at 6.12pm. Intercités 3314. You will be back in Paris at 8.45pm. For booking and more info: www.sncf.com This train does not run on Saturdays, Sundays, or national holidays, so this connection is available on regular weekdays only. We will be waiting at the train station to pick you up.
Lunch is not included. You will be able to have lunch in one of the local restaurants. Museum admission is not included.
