York Historic Pub Walking Tour｜United Kingdom

Meet your guide outside the National Trust shop on College Street and set off on a 2-hour walking tour of York. Discover an alternative history of the city as you explore its pubs, some of which are among the oldest in the city.

Learn about the people and events associated with these historic pubs, from inquests and riots to politics, plagues, and religious influences. Hear stories of bizarre entertainments and strange auctions that paint a vivid picture of York's social life.

Enjoy the option to stop for a refreshment at the oldest pub in York, where a discount is usually available. All funds raised from the tour go towards supporting a local York charity scheme, Keep Your Pet.
