Your guide will collect you from your agreed pick-up location before travelling to St Andrews. Driving times vary according to the pick-up point and are included within the eight-hour tour.

St Andrews – approximately 2½ hours

Enjoy a guided walk through the historic centre of St Andrews. See the cathedral and castle ruins, Scotland’s oldest university and landmarks connected to the town’s history as the Home of Golf. There will also be free time to explore, take photographs or enjoy refreshments.

Travel to Crail – approximately 25 minutes

Walk through one of the East Neuk’s most photographed fishing villages. Explore its narrow streets and characterful harbour while enjoying views across the Firth of Forth.

Travel to Anstruther – approximately 15 minutes

Anstruther – approximately 1 hour

Stop for lunch in the “Capital of the East Neuk.” Anstruther is known for its harbour and popular fish and chip shops, alongside a choice of cafés and restaurants. Food and refreshments are not included in the tour price.

Travel to Pittenweem – approximately 10 minutes

Pittenweem – approximately 45 minutes

Discover Pittenweem’s harbour, winding lanes, traditional cottages and thriving arts scene. Hear the story of St Fillan and the village cave associated with this early missionary. Entry to the cave is subject to opening and availability.

Travel to St Monans – approximately 10 minutes

St Monans – approximately 30 minutes

Finish your journey through the East Neuk with a short stop in St Monans. See its historic harbour, coastal church and the remains of the old salt pans and windmill before returning to your agreed drop-off location.

The standard itinerary follows the sequence above. It may be completed in reverse when this is more practical for your pick-up location. The time at each stop can be adjusted to suit your interests and walking pace, while retaining the main locations and overall eight-hour duration.

The price includes private transport for your group, collection and return to the agreed location, driver-guide services, fuel and parking. All activities described are walks or exterior sightseeing, so there are no required admission costs. Meals, refreshments and entry to any optional paid attractions are not included.
