商品説明
Escape to the countryside and spend a day learning how to make pottery on the potter’s wheel. Upon arrival, receive a warm welcome from your hosts, celebrated studio potters Sarah Monk and Jon Williams.
After introductions and refreshments, settle down to watch a detailed and entertaining potter’s wheel demonstration. Then, put on your apron and get ready to create.
Follow an easy-to-understand, five-step process to making a pot on the potter’s wheel. For the first two or three attempts, move through the stages altogether as a group. By the third go, you’ll have pretty much got the hang of things and can develop at your own pace with individual tutoring as and when required. In the afternoon, scale up, make bigger pots, and try different shapes.
At the end of the day, after the wheels have been cleaned, it’s decision time. You’ll have made loads of pots, far more than you’ll ever need. Select your favorite one or two to keep as a memento. They will be left with the studio to be fired, glazed, and posted out to you at no extra cost. If you can’t make up your mind what to keep, extra pots can be purchased on the day for an additional fee. Your glazed gems will arrive at home approximately six weeks later.
