On the herb walk around the Waldburg, numerous native plants, or plants that have long since become native, are presented that grow wild on the castle hill and in the surrounding area.
It is not just about culinary herbs, but about the wide variety of plants that were used in earlier times: for seasoning, healing, dyeing, and much more.
An experienced herbalist in historical costume shows how to recognize the plants and what significance they had in the Middle Ages and still have today.

The walking tour starts at the foot of the castle hill and offers unique views of the Waldburg and the surrounding countryside, on clear days reaching as far as the Alps.
