Cemetery and garden culture
The St. Johannis cemetery is considered one of the most famous burial grounds in Europe and was voted Germany's most beautiful cemetery in 2013.
The tour of the graves of patricians, craftsmen, artists and politicians provides a vivid insight into Nuremberg's city history.
Artistic epitaphs commemorate the deceased and their families.
A detour to the nearby Hesperides Gardens, which were used for recreation but also for cultivating Mediterranean fruit, completes the picture of the "green Johannis district". The tour will be held in German! Attention: The Hesperides Gardens can only be visited from May to October!
Attention: Meeting point: St. John's Cemetery, East Entrance - Lindengasse, corner of Johannisstraße
Attention: Minimum number of participants 2 people
