Guided by experts, you will learn why, 200 years ago in Münster, beer was brewed on every street, the city treasury was filled by the sale of herbal sachets, and drinking water was frowned upon.
Our qualified tour guides will take you to the Kuhviertel district, show you the only Altbier kitchen and brewery still in operation there, and explain what “Bullenköppe” are used for and why there was a beer war in Münster. You'll learn interesting and entertaining facts not only about beer but also about brewing culture under the German Beer Purity Law, craft beer, and IPAs. Along the way, you will enjoy freshly tapped varieties of the golden beverage, because, of course, a tasting of three selected beers (included) is part of our pub tour.
