The focus is on the Magdeburg Cathedral of St. Mauritius and St. Catherine, which is considered the city's landmark and is closely associated with Emperor Otto the Great. Also part of the tour are the Monastery of Our Lady, the Old Market Square with the Magdeburg Horseman, and other places that illustrate the importance of Magdeburg as a fortified city and center of the Reformation.
A special contrast awaits you at the Green Citadel, a late architectural project by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Here you will discover the striking shapes, colorful details, and courtyards of this extraordinary building and learn more about the design concept behind it.
