A leap back in time to 1737: Medicine in the Baroque period – interactive and sometimes risky.
Pain in the knee? An infected tooth? Dry cough? In the Baroque period, there were no doctors for citizens as we know them today. But people knew how to help themselves: there were all kinds of remedies from the herbalist, and there were barbers and charlatans. And they all touted their skills, no matter how beneficial or harmful they were. Johanna Bader, an 18th-century woman who donned men's clothing to practice her grandfather's profession, talks about hygiene, dental treatment, orthopedic ailments, and all sorts of curiosities. Learn firsthand and solve many mysteries of days gone by. On this interactive tour, you have to solve tasks and participate, and you'll learn a lot about "the good old days." You will be guided through the most beautiful squares of Ludwigsburg, past the landmarks of the Old Town, to selected locations. A great afternoon/evening awaits you.
