We start in a very small group with a maximum of 6 participants. We will pick you up in comfort at one of the meeting points in an air-conditioned van. A wonderful journey through the enchanting Palatinate takes us to the picturesque town of Wissembourg.
We begin our day in charming Bad Dürkheim and discover two of the most exciting landmarks there that you shouldn't miss! Afterwards, we drive through the beautiful vineyards to the start of the German Wine Route. Our route takes us on to Wissembourg, where we can explore the idyllic town and soak up the atmosphere. To finish, we'll hike to Landeck Castle to end the day in a relaxed way. Let's enjoy this splendid excursion together!
Our first stop on this fantastic day is in the heart of the beautiful Palatinate – in Bad Dürkheim. We'll take a look at the largest wine barrel in the world with its historical background and breathe in the healing salt air at the Gradierbau, one of the longest open-air inhalation facilities in Germany.
After that, a scenic drive awaits you on the Wine Route through the impressive Palatinate wine-growing region to its starting point – the German Wine Gate. Located on a slight hill, you can taste wine and enjoy the views here.
From here, it's just a short distance to France. The romantic and idyllic village of Wissembourg lets us feel the charm of Alsace. We will stroll together through streets lined by the Lauter River with colorful flowers and marvel at the second largest church in Alsace. Afterwards, you will have some free time in this great town.
At the end of the day, we will drive to Landeck Castle, which we will reach after a short, moderate climb. It is a spectacular excursion destination in the Southern Palatinate and offers a breathtaking panoramic view over the Rhine plain to the Black Forest. We can end the day in the castle tavern.
Full of new impressions and experiences, we will take you back to your departure point in a relaxed atmosphere.
