Set off on an unforgettable 5-day Garden Route adventure from Cape Town, travelling along the scenic Route 62 through dramatic mountain passes, rolling vineyards and the semi-arid landscapes of the Klein Karoo. Your first stop is Oudtshoorn, known as the ostrich capital of the world, where you can choose to explore the spectacular Cango Caves or visit a working ostrich farm before continuing to the coastal town of Sedgefield for an overnight stay.
The next day, experience some of South Africa’s most beautiful coastal scenery. Visit the famous Knysna Heads viewpoint before heading to Nature’s Valley, where a guided hike takes you through indigenous forest and along pristine beaches to the breathtaking Salt River Mouth. Adventure seekers can add activities such as the world’s highest commercial bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge, forest ziplining, quad biking or blackwater tubing. End the day in the heart of Tsitsikamma, surrounded by ancient forests and natural beauty.
On day three, explore Tsitsikamma National Park with a scenic hike to the iconic Storms River suspension bridges, crossing above the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean. Continue east towards Addo, enjoying changing landscapes before arriving at your accommodation near Addo Elephant National Park.
Wake early on day four for a memorable safari experience in Addo Elephant National Park. Search for elephants, buffalo, zebra, antelope and other wildlife as you explore one of South Africa’s premier game reserves. After an exciting morning in the bush, return along the Garden Route to Sedgefield for a final evening by the coast.
On the final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast before travelling back to Cape Town. Reflect on five incredible days filled with spectacular scenery, wildlife encounters, coastal hikes, adventure activities and authentic South African experiences.
