Please kindly recheck the pickup details, meeting point, and session time stated on the voucher for your selected package.
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Tshwane/Pretoria or Johannesburg. Travel in a comfortable vehicle to the Dinokeng Game Reserve, just 1 hour from Johannesburg.
Upon arrival, board an open 4×4 safari vehicle with elevated bench seating. Over the next 3 hours, an expert, English-speaking ranger will lead the drive, using tracks and spoor to find wildlife. The open-sided vehicle offers an immersive experience – you can smell the bush and enjoy unobstructed viewing from its higher seats.
Mid-drive, the vehicle stops in a shaded clearing or riverbank. Enjoy a short break with tea or coffee (often home-baked rusks) as your guide shares fascinating wildlife stories. This is a great photo-op spot and a chance to stretch your legs.
After the drive, return to base for a traditional South African lunch. Expect local favorites. The relaxing meal overlooking the bush gives time to swap safari photos and stories.
After lunch, you’re driven back to the original pick-up point, typically arriving by early afternoon or early evening depending on departure. Sit back and review your wildlife photos on the way back.
