The experience takes place in Karura Forest, a peaceful green sanctuary within Nairobi. After meeting your facilitator, you receive wireless headphones and a short briefing before beginning an immersive audio film trek through the forest.
As you walk along the scenic trails, the audio storytelling unfolds through your headphones, sharing powerful narratives about the Mau Mau freedom fighters and Kenya’s struggle for independence. The journey leads to the historic Mau Mau Caves, where the stories become even more vivid as you stand in a place once used as a hideout during the liberation struggle.
After the trek, the experience concludes with a relaxing Picnic & Paint session in a quiet forest clearing, where participants reflect on the stories heard and creatively express the experience through art while surrounded by nature.
