Begin your journey with a comfortable pickup from anywhere in Muscat, then drive through scenic landscapes towards the charming Al Mutarib Old Village. Glimpse traditional Omani life and architecture before continuing to the stunning Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman.
Known for its crystal-clear turquoise pools surrounded by dramatic rocky cliffs, Wadi Bani Khalid offers a peaceful natural setting. Enjoy time to relax, swim, or simply take in the serene surroundings. Explore the hidden Mukhal Cave, a unique natural cave within the wadi area, offering a sense of adventure for those who want to discover more beyond the main pools.
Afterward, head to the golden dunes of Wahiba Sands (also known as Sharqiya Sands), a vast desert landscape famous for its rolling dunes and Bedouin culture. On the way or upon arrival, stop for lunch at a local restaurant or enjoy a picnic in the wadi or desert.
Visit a traditional Bedouin house, where you will experience authentic Omani hospitality. Relax, enjoy freshly prepared Omani coffee (kahwa) and dates, and learn about desert life. You can also browse handmade souvenirs if you wish.
For an extra experience, ride a camel (optional, payable directly to the local owner). End your day by watching a breathtaking desert sunset over the dunes before returning comfortably to Muscat.
